Notes from the President February 11, 2018

Hello Falcon Families!

I hope that everyone remained safe and warm this weekend!

Parent2Parent Night!

Please remember that our Parent2Parent Night is happening Monday, February 12 from 5:00-6:30pm! Our District Essential Academic Practices will be the focus of our discussion, as will an overview of how our curriculum framework is different than a traditional curriculum. I encourage all to come out and learn more about the #JPECDifference!

The #JPECDifference

We want to ensure we are informing our community of what makes being a Falcon great, and what makes JPEC a unique educational opportunity! We will be spearheading a communication campaign starting in March focused on highlighting our District pillars that make the #JPECDifference.

We would like to share our students' and families' stories that spotlight what makes JPEC special. We will be collecting testimonials from students and families towards the end of February to publish on our website and through social media to communicate out the #JPECDifference.

  • What makes JPEC different than your previous school experience?
  • What do you appreciate and value about JPEC?
  • What is special and unique about JPEC?
  • What difference has JPEC made for you and your family?

We believe there is something special happening at JPEC, and our impact on local educational change and the State's conversation on education is proof! We thank you for your support and commitment to our district, and for allowing us the chance to be a part of your student's educational journey. Help us highlight the #JPECDifference!

Intent to Return Forms for the 2018-19 Academic Year!

Our Open Enrollment window is approaching and the time of year that we check-in with all of our families to ensure we save seats for our upcoming school year. We ask each of our families to complete an Intent to Return form for each of your current students. Please download a copy of the form below.

Please make sure to complete, sign, and return to our main office by March 9th at 5:00pm. Families are able to drop off a signed form, or scan and send to admissions@jacksonpec.org. Also, please note that we do provide sibling privilege. This means that if you have a student who you would like to join JPEC in the fall and currently have a Falcon, your student will be placed on a priority list during the open enrollment window.

Completing the Intent to Return form is important as it reserves spaces for the upcoming academic year and helps our team plan appropriately based on projected enrollment numbers. Thank you for your commitment to JPEC, and for your help!

Facilities Feedback

As we continue working with our partners focused on a facilities project, additional options have presented themselves. Our Board of Governors, Leadership, and Staff would like to hear our families', especially our families with College Prep Falcons, perspectives on having a school facility off campus.

  • While there are great positives with having our College Prep located on Jackson College's campus, we believe there may also be strong positives with moving off campus.
  • Please keep in mind our Early College will remain embedded on Jackson College campus moving forward. We are specifically talking about a facility for our College Preparatory students in grades 6 - 8.
  • Please use the link below to let us know your thoughts!
