The only reason why people go on a diet because they want to get skinnier, but actually there are other ways of doing it.
Reason 1: Ok yay you lost weight. Congrats! Wait another 1-5 years and do it over again. Your body doesn’t feel good when you change from eating bad to good because your body isn’t use to it.
Reason 2: Even when you go on a diet you still don’t run fast. "Deprivation of restrictive diets may lead to a diet-overeat or diet- binge cycle, and since your body doesn’t want you to starve, it responds to overly-restrictive diets by slowing your metabolism which of course makes it harder to lose weight" Meg Selig said.
Reason 3: It’s perfectly fine to control portions and skip desserts. In fact, keep going with the plan it’s healthy eating, but skipping meals or starving yourself is not. When you starve you will get stomach aches and after eating something bad for you your body will feel horrible.
