Dear Patton Families,
Welcome Back! I hope you have had a fun and relaxing summer, and I can’t wait to see our Patton Middle School students on August 30th. As you squeeze in those last-minute vacations and day trips, I wanted to share important information with you about the start of the new school year.
Patton Middle School students will follow a regular daily schedule this year which will include lunch. Click here for more details about our daily student schedule.
Students will be served a full lunch in our new cafeteria. Students will be given an assigned seat according to their advisory classroom to start the year. The assigned seating will enable us to quickly contact trace if need be. Our lunch locations include the cafeteria, two large outdoor tents, and our auxiliary gym. We will also be encouraging students to use our two outdoor picnic areas to eat their lunch. When eating indoors, students will be separated at least three feet apart to the extent possible.
Masks are required by all students and staff when indoors except when they are eating their lunch. Masks are optional when outdoors.
Our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures will remain the same as they did last year. Click here for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures.
Students will be assigned a school locker, and they are also permitted to carry their backpacks with them throughout the day. Cell phones are allowed in school; however, phones cannot be out without teacher permission. Therefore, phones must be kept in pockets, backpacks, or lockers at all times, including lunch, unless a staff member grants permission.
Last week we had the opportunity to welcome and work with our new teachers during Teacher Induction Week. What a fantastic group of professionals! Click here for more information.
We also welcomed our rising 6th graders during our annual 6th-Grade Transition Camp. We had over 250 rising 6th-graders participate in the camp.
Our PTO-Sponsored New Student picnic will be held outdoors on Tuesday, August 24th, in the middle school cafeteria parking lot. Families of rising 6th-grade students and any new students to the school are invited to join us. In addition, new families and students will be able to take self-guided tours of the school.
The Principal’s Newsletter comes out every Monday at 8:00 AM. Please take time to read through the newsletter each week as it is our primary source of communication. Please also check out the Patton Middle School website for updated, detailed information about our school, including valuable resources for students and parents.
Please be sure to check out your child’s schedule and contact our assistant principal, Ms. Jessica Knier, if you have any questions about the schedule. Ms. Knier can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. In addition, our school nurse, Mrs. Tricia Harlan, is also available to answer any medical or health questions. You can contact Mrs. Harlan at email@example.com.
Our school counselors are also on hand to answer questions and provide support. If you would like to speak to one of our school counselors, please call the main office at (610) 347-2000, and one of our office staff will connect you with the counselor assigned to your child’s grade level.
Be on the lookout for the next Principal’s Newsletter coming out on Monday, August 30th. But, for now, please enjoy the remaining days of summer break.
Have a great week! GO HAWKS!

We Need Your Help
There are lots of fun and meaningful opportunities to help support our school, teachers & staff, and students through work done by the PTO, and we would love your help! No experience or large time commitment needed. Sign up here!
It Just Takes $10
We are excited to kick off the new school year and get back to what the PTO does best - investing in the students and staff of CFPMS! For the past two years our largest fundraiser, the Spring Carnival was cancelled. With savings, we purchased an outdoor tent classroom, provided teachers with a classroom subsidy, and much more.
We are humbly asking each family that can, to contribute $10 to support the work of the PTO. Gifts can be made here: charles-f-patton-middle-school-pto.square.site
