Join us Saturday, Oct. 27 for this year's event!
Campus was buzzing last year as 3,000 prospective students and family members attended East Carolina University’s annual Fall Open House.
Hosted by the ECU Office of Undergraduate Admissions, future Pirates were able to spend the day touring campus, visiting with academic departments, hearing from current Pirate students and parents, and attending informational sessions on admissions, financial aid, campus living and dining, and more.
“Progress across our campus and mild weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Pirate guests as they explored the campus.”
- Dr. John T. Fletcher, Associate Provost for Enrollment Services
Academic and Student Affairs Fair
Attendees had the opportunity to discover a wide array of academic and student life offerings. Faculty, staff and current students provided answers to questions regarding programs of study, financial aid, housing, dining, student organizations, transportation, admissions, and much more.
Ask a Pirate
Throughout the day, prospective students were able to interact with current students – whether stationed around campus with “Ask a Pirate” signs, or in an “Ask a Pirate” panel session. The panel sessions afforded prospective students the opportunity to ask just about any question of current ECU students.
“As we saw on Saturday, ECU is a top choice among North Carolina and out-of-state students. People recognize the value of an East Carolina University education."
- Dr. Dave Meredith, director of undergraduate admissions
