Holiday Volunteers Blind children's learning center

The BIS marketingteam spent the morning of December 9th volunteering at the Blind Children's Learning Center in Tustin, California .

We gathered in the multipurpose room for a quick coffee
The school's mission is to provide early intervention, education, and services for blind, visually impaired and deaf/blind infants and youth, and their families to allow access to education in preparation to lead independent lives.

Pumped to help out 😬
Our Special Projects Coordinator, Kevin Fuhrmann provided background on the school and told us what they needed our help with.

Volunteering with the Heart of Experian like this really helps to foster teamwork. It's something the whole team looks forward to each year.

Mark Dinicola helps disassemble a large desk.

I think the reorganization of the office area was a success.

A different team helped prepare children's reading books with special Braille tape.
David Hwang and Tina De La Cuadra work on Braille assignment.
Allison Soucy and Chad Puro work on Braille assignment.
Next it was time to entertain the children with a little music.
The team sang Jingle Bells to the children.
I think they liked our holiday spirit
We learned all about the school from the expert teachers.
Even the children's schedule has been carefully laid out in a physical sense.
The classrooms are well organized.

Happy Holidays from Experian Business Information Services 😀
