Sustainable house A 3d model of a tiny sustainable house By Mauli Mittal

Sustainable house means that it should meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future. Features that we can integrate in our homes to maintain suatainability are : 1. Better Lighting. Replace your traditional incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient LED bulbs. 2. Smart Thermostat. 3. Home Insulation.4. Energy-efficient Appliances. 5. Organic Garden. 6. Sustainably Sourced Furniture. 7. Solar Panels.

This is a model of a tiny sustainable house made by me keeping in mind all the features of sustainability. I used a thermal base and 3 glared glass windows to keep the house warm from inside as it is very cold in Europe. LED lights are used to save energy consumption instead of normal lights. Walls are made thick with insulation in between to reduce flow of energy outside the walls. Used only essential furniture and decorations as it will increase the cost of house. Thermostat using solar energy to use hot water are used in the house.
I have used solar panels on the roof as it will produce electricity for the whole house and I don’t have to pay the bills. Less consumption of energy. Solar panels produce clean, emission free electricity resulting in strong environmental benefits.
I have used a compost bin in my house. If I am able to reduce the amount of trash I throw out, I could reduce my trash bill. Also, when I produce compost at home, I don’t need to buy as much of it from the gardening store.Applying compost to your soil makes for happy plants. I can throw all waste such as food waste and garden waste in the compost bin. It will not harm anybody and will reduce the waste that I throw.
I have used a water tank for use in the garden or to clean with, washing dishes and clothing, and it can also be used to wash the car. Water tanks reduce flooding. It will stop wasting water in the toilet or washing by storing and using rain water at home. Reducing the use of water coming in our homes. It will help us to stay fresh and healthy. In our toilets we can reuse the water that we waste to wash hands, we can store that water in the flush bucket. That will stop wastage of water.
This is my living room where we spent most of our day time. The house is South facing as a result from sunrise to sunset there will be enough sunlight in the room. I have used big glass windows that will allow natural sunlight and fresh air in the room.
This is a small gallery that connects the kitchen, a small store room attached to the kitchen , a small toilet and back door to enter the house. This also keeps house ventillated all day.
This is my kitchens view from outside. I have again used big windows in the kitchen to allow natural light and fresh air through out the year. I have used glass windows in store room and bathroom as well. The windows of kitchen and living room are parallel to aech other to allow cross ventillation.
This is a small store room next to the kitchen. This will allow to store all your extra things that will leave rooms less occupied.
This is the main entrance to the house. From right door you can go to the living room and kitchen. The stairs will take you to the first floor where I have 2 bedrooms and a washroom. One is master bedroom and other is box room.
These are the 2 doors, one on the left that takes you to the box room and one on the front leading to master bedroom.
This is a master bedroom that is accessible when you come to the first floor by stairs. It have a small closet attached. Both the bedrooms share a common partition wall and a small bathroom. This saves a lot of space.
This is a small balcony outside my master bedroom that gives a beautiful view of outside and also the sliding glass doors will let in natural light and air all day long. It will reduce the electricity bills.
This is the box room. I used big glass windows for light and air. I kept a bunk bed to do maximum utilisation the space.

Thank you!
