Where do I report in the morning? (Welcome Center): Bus Riders & Junior Drives report to the Large Gym; Car Riders & Senior Drives report to the Auditorium.

When do I each lunch? Your lunch group assignment will be on your schedule in the Student Portal before the first day of school.

How do I receive a school ID and school agenda? ID & QR CODE PICK UP! Thursday, March 25th and Friday, March 26th from 3:00-7:00pm In order to assist with first day procedures, we are going to host an ID Pick Up. All students are invited to come pick up their school ID, individual QR Code, a water bottle, and their agenda. We will utilize the same procedures for the textbook pick up, by asking drivers to pull into our back parking lot off of Cardinal Blvd and pull towards the Large Gym. To ensure this process is quick, we will have designated drive through lanes for each grade level. If a student can't make the pickup dates and times, they will receive these items in their class.

How do I verify my student transportation to school? If you have not reported your student's means of transportation for their in-person return, please do so on the following form as soon as possible. If the JCPS Bus Finder (Located at JCPS website > Parents > Bus Finder) does not have your stop listed, please complete the survey as soon as you receive your bus information: Click Here.

Transitions

From: Elise Christensen, our Mental Health Practitioner (MPH)

Mental Wellness

As we prepare to return to school we want to acknowledge the stress students continue to endure due to current uncertainty and transitions. We know students have missed the structure, routines, resources and supports received at school. We are prepared to offer services to help students as they transition back to school after spring break and in the fall.

Suggestions for Reopening:

  • Begin adjusting student routines at home
  • Set a schedule to accommodate time needed for sleep, school, work and free time
  • Begin (re) organizing for changes in daily routines
  • Review all school generated materials regarding transportation, daily expectations, and cleaning guidelines.
  • Practice self-advocacy and help seeking behaviors

Group/Classroom Activities: school wide mental wellness lessons; consistent student-check-ins; counseling classroom instruction (study skills); and stress kits, Stress Less Week, Social Emotional Learning lessons.

Individual Supports: easier access to school counselors (QR codes for appts); individual brief counseling (school counselor); individual therapy (MPH); individual therapy (agency therapist); and Crisis supports (evaluation referrals).

Resources: updated resources on the counseling website and Mental Health Newsletters.

Communication

Main Grade Level Google Classrooms: All students should check the announcements periodically on this Google Classroom for school-wide announcements.

Manual Update: Principal's Message through his weekly email to parents and students.
