From the many thousands of items that come to Moray Waste Busters we sometimes find interesting and collectible things.
We are a charity that has bills to pay and the temptation has been to ebay these items. However these things have come from local people and we feel should be offered to local people first.
Hendricks Gin Tea Cups and Saucers.
Usually it's first come first served, but with these selected items we have decided to hold an auction. This way we hope to give all those interested an equal chance.
Cocktail trolley.
Tiffany lamp.
We are a great resource for local people and the idea is to show the range and quality of reusable items found at Moray Waste Busters. This is a promotional event rather than a fund raising one. We expect successful bidders to leave with real bargains, just as they would any other day they might visit us.
However where does the money we make go ?
We are not only a charity but a Social Enterprise. This is a new kind of business where there is no owner or shareholders. Any surplus income after we have paid our overheads goes back into growing the business.
The environmental work we do in diverting reusable goods away from landfill is plain to see, but the other social projects we support maybe less obvious.
We provide supported placements and work experience for disadvantaged adults and young people.
We provide free tailored educational visits for nurseries, schools, colleges or any other interested groups.
We provide workshop space for the ' Forres Men's Shed '
Cider cask.
We support other local charities by collecting resources on their behalf and by providing items and services at discounted prices.

So why not come down on Saturday October 28th. The auction is at 11.00 a.m. with viewing from 9.30 a.m. that morning.
