Illustrious Quarantine: Covid-19 By Guillermo Velasco

A time of great unknowing and despair among the populous of the world, this unprecedented pandemic has really shaken the foundations of many and halt the daily lives of many. Those suffering due to the Virus or the stoppage of work had put a great burden on them unexpectedly. Also that of the World's sports from the Champions League to the NBA; people's livelihood at risk of losing it all due to this stoppage. Even with all this pain occurring to our world, its a time for us to actually stop from out fast lives and reflect upon ourselves as the people of the world. It's able to straighten ourselves personally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. To Unite and become the better human beings we should be not that ones we project to be.

Like the Virus itself being small, the photographs are of the small things daily used in quarantine but its impact is grand. This Photo Essay presented is glimpse of life in a halted world. Of a teenager stuck at home during this Quarantine, who tries to do productive things and progress even with everything stopped.

The hiatus has allowed me to relax for once in a long time due to all the activities I do with the sports I play and Schoolwork. Been able to game more but most importantly keep my mind clear as of now. Keeping me calm and not freak out in the things I dearly am missing out on.

Also with this time I'm able to really fix and discover some things in my house I haven't had the chance to interact with. Like fixing my Lightsaber here, and watching a bunch of Star Wars as well.

Ah, Man's Best Friend. Being able to be with Sparky daily really does keep calm, sort of therapeutic for me and my family especially my dog. Keeps his mind off of the things going on.
With this extra time, I can actually work on my self in my health and physique. Playing both sports (baseball and basketball) year round is hard to find time to put work on my body. Now it's all the time in world to put that into play. Working on my baseball skills and working our really is doing a great service in this time of uncertanty.
Whats the best part about break? It's begin part of a Hispanic Family which means chores and chores. Its for my own good and I've come to know its necessary to keep clean now more than ever.

Covid-19 happened at the worst time. From a perspective of a High School Senior having done 11 plus years of school then everything it was leading up to coming to a stop and some things begin cancelled. With graduation being in Jeopardy as well as my Baseball season all hell really broke loose. As well as those people's whose jobs are stopped, their livelihood as of now is on the edge. Thank God that my parents jobs are well and secured from the virus, Happy that they still are able to work and provide even in this pandemic.

Importantly, my take on all this is to say positive and have hope for this virus to be eradicated. But it also a part for all of us even me to really step back form the life we have and become better. We have time to reflect and time to grow. WE all must unite, can't be fighting against each other. Bring everyone together and growing will not only make us better but also those around.
