Seawater: Don't drink the water!

Don't drink the water! Seawater has a high salt amount it causing it to taste bad and dry out your mouth. Salt water will dehydrate you because in by drinking seawater, you have to urinate more water than you drank. This means that if you do not have any fresh water sources than you will die of dehydration.

Why the ocean is important to life on Earth.

The ocean is very important to life on Earth. Most of the water in rain clouds come from the oceans water. This means that the ocean creates lots of fresh water for us. The ocean also helps determine the weather of places near it but also far away from them. Another thing is that the ocean provides life for may creatures such as fish, urchins, plants, and other species of ocean life.

Zones of the Ocean

The ocean is broken into 5 different sections. The first section is the sunlit zone which gets the most sunlight. It is between 0 feet- 656 feet. The twilight zone is the second layer between 656 feet - 3280 feet,only dim light is in it. The midnight zone is the third zone reaching from 13,123 feet - 3,280 feet and does not get any sunlight. The abyss is the fourth zone reaching from 13,123 - 19,685 and is used to describe deep sea. The hadal zone is the last zone reaching from 19,685 - 36,197 feet having extreme depths.
