In Tunis lives Aya, a smart little girl, with her Salafist parents. But one day a special event disrupts the life of this family. And then Aya manages to safe her family from fanatism.
Moufida Fedhila is a producer, a filmmaker and a visual artist. Her works has been shown in numerous exhibitions around the world and are part of several private and public collections.
Her new film "Aya", won the Golden Tanit for Best Short Fiction at the Carthage Film Festival, and several awards such as the Best Short Film at the Festival Cinema Africano Asia and America Latina of Milan and the Gold FIFOG at the International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva. The film is also selected in International Competition in several festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and Busan International Short Film Festival.
Combining her strength artistic direction and production, Moufida Fedhila founded with Mehdi Hmili Yol Film House and produced several award-winning fiction and documentary films in several festivals. At the 34th Vues d'Afrique International Film Festival in Montreal, she received a tribute for all of her work. Moufida Fedhila is a member of the Francophone Academy of Cinema. She lives and works between Paris and Tunis.
