I'm a strategic thinker who likes to get his hands dirty.

I admire innovators like Elon Musk and designers like Stefan Sagmeister. I believe that thinking outside the box produces tangible results. I believe that education, technology & communication will inspire creative solutions for all forms of sustainable design on a global scale.

I'm excited about the future of problem solving through innovation.

I'm also fascinated by transitions, the down time, those moments when not completely engaged, to reflect on what you've done and what's next to come. I've gone from being a NYC lifeguard, who directed a feature film in Manhattan to strategizing marketing & design campaigns for Apple's iStudio retail stores in Bangkok, Thailand. I've floated in the Dead Sea. I've met Mickey Rourke at the Cannes Film festival and had an extra acting appearance in Mariah Carey’s video “Bringin’ on the Heartbreak”.

I've water ski’d with Moby. I've been to Angkor Wat, Cambodia, four times. I was on the cover of the platinum selling cd, Godsmack Faceless. I've resided, studied, worked and thoroughly enjoyed my life in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Aix-en-Provence, France, Southeast Asia and Vancouver, where my area of expertise was in visual communication and digital media design, both as a professional and academic.

I'm agile... I've always been a lifelong learner, interested in improving and building upon my skill set, to excel in life when given the chance. I have a BA in economics from Concordia University in Montreal, a BFA in film-making from SUNY Purchase in New York and most recently a Master’s degree in digital media from The Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver.

I use digital engagement to communicate.

I've used Trello & Slack to project manage and disseminate lesson materials to my students at Emily Carr and the University of the Fraser Valley. I build word press websites. I freelance. I frequently use 90% of the software in the Adobe Creative Suite collection. I use Microsoft Office. I have years of interactive media experience, creating, editing and producing content for the web, youtube, print and other social media platforms. I'm eager to share my strengths in finding communication solutions focused on social media, technology and digital engagement. I have a passionate desire to learn from and collaborate with others. Though I'm older than your average Master's graduate, I have a 3 year old daughter who keeps me young and inspires me to think about technology, education and her future well-being.

During my Master's studies at the CDM, I researched, developed & published a digital magazine for Fujitsu Japan, projecting the future of higher education in the year 2020. With a focus on collaboration, research and lifelong learning (using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite), the essence behind the deliverable was to develop a digital platform for Fujitsu's internal communications. We used agile project management techniques and I acted as the project manager.

In my final term, a similar innovative product was developed for HSBC. Using a web-based solution, we created an internal application for crowd sourcing and crowd funding, to generate ideas and stimulate corporate employee engagement. I also developed a playful marketing component to raise awareness.

To date, I've taught "The Business of Design" & "Corporate Communications" at the Emily Carr University of Art & Design Essentials program. I taught "Brand Identity", "Digital Media" & "Professional Practices" at the University of the Fraser Valley. I taught and was Program Director for the Multimedia Design and Visual Communication Design programs at Raffles Education Corporation.

With a background in economics, filmmaking, graphic design, multimedia design, storytelling and a lifetime of travel, striving for responsible transparency defines my approach when developing content for corporate communication. I have over 15 years experience of interactive media design and development.

As of the year 2017, there are more mobile devices than people on the planet. My approach to communication is to help develop responsive content for consumption, emphasizing sustainability and social responsibility, with the ultimate goal of engaging & facilitating collaboration between all stakeholders.

From playing soccer on the fields of Chinook Park to setting up a design studio in Tribeca's meat packing district to researching innovative communication solutions for global corporations at the CDM, my goal has always been to apply the innovative tools and skills I've acquired throughout my lifetime to build successful, results driven, communications strategies to improve the overall quality of life for my daughter and the future generations to come.

I'm always learning, playing and pondering the future.
