Alloy Yachts demonstrated its engineering prowess with the launch of several groundbreaking sailing yacht projects, including the 32.6meter Esprit, now “Eclipse” which drew on technology developed by the America’s Cup racing teams to feature the first carbon fiber mast and fully battened mainsail.
This timeless Alloy sailing yacht offers a well constructed balance of form and function; her lines are as good looking today as they were the day she was launched. Eclipse (formerly Esprit) built by Alloy Yachts and launched in 1991, exterior design and engineering by Dubois Naval Architects, consequently the first collaboration with DuBois and Alloy Yachts of New Zealand.
