Build Your Own Backgrounds Reds

BYOB sets are made with the idea to provide creatives a variety of digital papers, overlays and other elements that can be combined to make an even larger assortment of options to use for photo composites and scrapbooking.

Each of the individual papers in the Red set was hand printed with acrylic paint using Gelli plates, mixed media paper, and an assortment of textured materials. The Squared overlay frames are also acrylic on paper.
The templates are custom designed in Photoshop. Some are then transferred to a Silhouette die cut machine to make actual stencils that can be used with paint. All the products in the set can be used as stand alone elements. But the real fun comes when you start combining them!
Use your favorite blend modes to add interest.
Choose deep rich reds, medium tones, or lighter shades of pinks.

OR

Combine more than one density.
Keep it simple.

OR

Make it complex.
This one was further altered using Topaz Textures, Fall Fairytale set on Bokeh texture.
To make a picture mat/frame: Duplicate the background you want to use. Scale the size down. Using the Marquee tool cut out an opening for your picture to show through. Add a drop shadow to give it depth. Sandwich your photo between the original background and the one with the opening.
Get really creative with masks and clipping groups. Add your own photos for truly original composites.
