The Urinary System By:angelina royle

On each side of the spinal column there are kidneys. Kidneys are an organ that filter your blood and get rid of waste and extra water as urine. Urine is made of waste products such as water and salts, a healthy color is clear or pale yellow. It is best to maintain a healthy blood pressure because kidneys are damaged by high blood pressure.

To stay hydrated and have a healthy urinary system, drink 6-8 glasses or two liters of water a day
Ureters connect the kidneys to the urinary bladder. They transport urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder
The muscular sac that stores urine is the urinary bladder. It expands as it fills with urine. During urination, the urine is forced out of the bladder through the urethra.
The urethra is the narrow tube that extends from the urinary bladder to the outside of the body, through which urine passes out of the body.
