"A powerful and clear map for living a connected, fulfilled and meaningful life. The Compassion Book by Thom Bond is a true gem. In a simple, direct, relatable language, Thom offers no less than a map for living a fulfilled, connected life. It's filled with true stories from Thom's life that I was able to relate to, which helped make the concepts real and applicable to my life. What makes this map unique and powerful, in my experience, is its universality: no matter cultural or religious background, this message has the potential to reach people's hearts. And this fills me with hope :) I hope to see book clubs blossoming around the world so that these powerful practices can continue to support the creation of a more wonderful world." "This book is a transcript of the online Compassion Course, making it easy to connect with all the lessons. It is on my couch, ready to pick up and read a section or paragraph, as inspiration. As my skill increases, so do the quality of my interactions with others and myself." Deanne Bednar 5.0 out of 5 stars.
WHAT MAKES THOM'S APPROACH UNIQUE AND EFFECTIVE?
Thom's work is based on his years studying and teaching with Marshall Rosenberg. Based on his extensive study, Thom has been able articulate and share the underlying consciousness that is the basis of Marshall's work, known as Nonviolent Communication (NVC). This "mindful" approach has expanded on Rosenberg's original teaching method that used a "speech model" as a teaching method.
Thom's work is also informed by the work of Werner Erhard and Albert Ellis, adding a transformational and highly practical perspective to his work. The first edition of the book has been embraced globally, and has been identified as "evergreen" by industry experts.
