Paradox By Carmi G. Baja

Radiant almond shaped eyes

Lined with mascara

Plum colored quietly smiling lips

An affable, jolly disposition

with everyone she sits

Kinda silent at first

But blossoms open when at ease

With her precious friends

Laughter bubbles and joy seems to

Never cease

Eyeliner drips slowly down her cheeks

The lovely facade melting into a frown

As Thoughts torment her

Tearing her spirit down

Then, a wallop of insults and shame

From someone poisons the air

She can't help but fall, tumble,

And sink

in her very own despair
