TORNADO MEN'S GOLF 2019-20 SEASON PREVIEW

The King University men's golf team returns nearly 80 percent of their rounds played from a season ago, including five players that played in at least 10 rounds. That experience, the Tornado aim to improve their finish at the Conference Carolinas Championship in 2019-20.

2018-19 Highlights

  • Tornado Finished sixth at the Conference Carolinas Championship
  • Low round of the season, 281, came in the second round of the Matt Dyas Invitational
  • Season-best finish of third came at the season-opeining King Invitational and the Battle at Hilton Head Island

MATTHEW DALRYMPLE

  • Third on the team with a 75.08 stroke average in 13 rounds
  • Finished 10th at the Battle at Hilton Head Island, his only top 10 of the year
  • Career-low round of 69 came in the second round of the Matt Dyas Invitational

CHAD COUCH

Jr. | 5-9 | L | Bristol, Tenn.

  • Played in 20 rounds with a stroke average of 75.40
  • Six rounds of par or better
  • Career-low round of 68 came in the second round of the King Invitational

MILES RUFF

Sr. | 5-9 | R | Canton, Ga.

  • Played in 10 rounds with a stroke average of 76.80
  • Low round of the season was even-par 72 at the Bearcat Classic

HEAD COACH

Brian Kamm

Kamm joined the King staff prior to the 2011-12 season and following a wealth of experience over 30 years of his professional and amateur golf career that he has used to steadily build the King University golf program to its status today. A former golfer on the Professional Golf Association (PGA) TOUR, Kamm has had success with both programs, sending indviduals from each team to the NCAA South/Souteast Regional Championships. Richard Powell was the first Tornado to qualify on the men's side in 2012-13 and Elizabeth Swallow became the first women to qualify in 2013-14.
