The Parkinson Council 2021 Grantmaking Guidelines

The Parkinson Council is moving to an invitational only grant process. We are extending an invitation to partners in care with a proven record of results and a strong commitment to an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the work of Parkinson’s research, comprehensive care, and program implementation.

The Parkinson Council's decision was based on the current impact of COVID-19 on our fundraising and our intent to support programs that realign service programs through a social justice lens.

Our 2021 grant-making will be approximately 1/3 of the previous year’s allocation. Given our fiscal reality, we ask intended partners to share a one-page application on how the institution plans to use the funds, including a projection of the number of lives touched, and an itemized budget.

Improving the quality of life of people with Parkinson's and increasing the number of lives we touch continue to be at the center of our mission. We hope the funds allocated, though smaller in numbers offer the ability to be innovative, creative, and nimble in implementing programming in the coming year.
