Illegalization of Photoshop haley mckenzie

Photoshop is a photo editing tool used to alter difference aspects of an image. It is most commonly used to alter models on the cover of magazines.

Before and after effects using Photoshop

Photoshop leads to unreachable standards in today's society for how 'beauty' is defined. These standards lead to self-image issues among women and men and can ultimately lead to eating disorders.

How a person with an eating disorder feels

Of American elementary school girls who read magazines, 69% say that the pictures influence their concept of the ideal body shape. 47% say the pictures make them want to lose weight.

I propose the US Congress creates a law to prohibit the use of Photoshop in any commercial advertisement of publication.

Banning Photoshop will lead to a decrease in self-image issues among women and men, and will ultimately lead to a happier, healthier lifestyle.
