Children must be 5 years old and entering grades K-5 in Fall 2020. Register only for the weeks your child will attend. 2-day (T/Th), 3-day (M/W/F) and 5-day (M-F) options are available each week; commitment to those days is required. Registration is not available online; in-person only at the Chilson front desk.

In-person registrations are accepted through Friday, April 24. Remaining open spaces available according to Summer 2020 activity guide registration dates. No camp held Fridays. Camp Days & Times Monday through Thursday 8:30A-4:30P. Complete your camper’s week by added an exciting Friday Teen Trip! Specific trip information listed in the Summer Activity Guide.

NEW! Counselor in Training Program (CIT)

Ages 14-17. Is your teen interested in working with children or becoming a future summer camp counselor? Our CIT program is designed to help participants develop leadership skills while having hands on experience engaging and leading children ages 5-12 in our state licensed summer camp programs.
Week 1 focuses on developing team building and leadership skills while also learning common policies & procedures of child care programs. Week 2 dives into hands-on planning and implementation of activities, all under the direct supervision of our Day Camp Director. CIT graduates will exit the program with Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certifications, disaster training, field trip and supply budget planning tools, a formal letter of recommendation and priority application status for Summer 2021 Seasonal Day Camp Aide positions with the City’s P&R Dept. (must be 16 to apply). Join us at the City Council Study Session on Tues, August 4 where CIT graduates will receive special recognition for their dedication to serving the Loveland community.

APPLICATIONS: Pick up at the Chilson Center front desk or visit cityofloveland.org/abdc. Drop off in-person at Chilson prior to Friday, 6/26. Accepted applicants will be notified by Friday, 7/10. Cost: $349 (scholarship opportunities available - see application)
Parent Orientation Meetings
Orientation meetings are REQUIRED for all enrolled families. During these meetings, we will be going over our new online camper enrollment profile system- Brightwheel, our new payment schedule, and a variety of important policies and procedures. During these meetings you will also have the opportunity to sign your camper up for the Friday Teen Trips to complete your camper’s week of camp.
Parent Orientation meetings are either a lunch-hour or an evening meeting during the week of April 20, 2020. Detailed information will be sent to the email address provided on your registration form the week of March 23, 2020.
Transfers, Cancellations & Refunds
Transfers of camp weeks made before Friday, April 24, 2020 will be allowed without penalty depending on schedule availability. Transfer requests made after Friday, April 24 and ALL cancellations may be subject to forfeiture of the $25 deposit. Cancellations made less than 10 working days prior to the week your child is scheduled to attend are subject to forfeiture of 50% of the weekly fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 5 working days prior to the week your child is scheduled to attend. All transfer requests and cancellations must be received in writing.
Each week’s remaining balance is broken down into three monthly payments. Individual payment plans may be available upon request.
- Payment 1 - May 13 (Grades K-5 Weeks 1-4; Grades 6-9 Weeks 1-3)
- Payment 2 - June 15 (Grades K-5 Weeks 5-9; Grades 6-9 Weeks 4-6)
- Payment 3 - July 20 (Grades K-5 Weeks 10-12; Grades 6-9 Weeks 7 & 8)
