COLEGIO MENOR IS A CARING COMMUNITY WHERE RESPECT IS A MUST.

WE EXPECT OUR TEACHERS TO......

1.- Be committed to students and their learning.

We are here for our children and their leaning and well being will always be our priority for every decision and actions we make.

2.- Know the subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to students. Learning and getting better is part of your own Professional Development.

3.- Are responsible for managing and monitoring student learning (observations, portfolios, formative and common assessments). Teachers are expected to share this information to relevant people in a timely manner to make adjustments, create and improvement plan, involve parents, etc.

4.- Be resourceful and creative.

5.- Be part of learning community, share knowledge and attend PD´s. Teachers are expected to share their knowledge and contribute to create a learning community.

6.- Come to work everyday. If you are ill, notify the night before (Follow HR procedures)

7.- Reflect a professional image at all times, dress and behave like one.

8.- Complete lesson plans, duties and deadlines without reminders. Duties are considered part of your teaching load periods. Therefore you need to be prepared and on time. Skipping one or coming late to one is like not showing up on time to one of your classes.

9.- If you are faculty and a parent, be a faculty member first.

10.- NO PHONE USE when children are under your care.

11.- Expected to develop a discipline plan in your classroom. It will reflect on your ability to teach and manage your class.

If a problem or disagreement arises, you are responsible for letting the right people know about it. Always come with a solution.
