PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR RETIRES AFTER 38 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE!

The City of Temple City thanks Cathy Burroughs, Parks and Recreation Director, for 38 years of public service.

Cathy's dedication and determination made our parks a better place to stay and play.

On July 2, Cathy was given a proper send-off, which included her very own Temple City street sign!

Congratulations on a well-deserved retirement, Cathy!

CITY HALL CLOSED ON 4TH OF JULY

City offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Regular business hours will resume on Friday, July 5, at 8 a.m.

CITY HALL OPEN HOUSE

City Hall will open its doors on Wednesday, July 17 for an informational event that introduces the community to the inner workings of local government.

ANNUAL PET CLINIC

Temple City pet owners and their furry friends are invited to attend the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society’s annual low-cost rabies vaccination and microchip clinic on Saturday, July 20. Low cost services include $9 rabies vaccinations and $20 microchips with lifetime registration.

Concept designs for Temple City’s new Primrose Park will be presented at a public meeting on July 8. Community members are encouraged to weigh in.

TEMPLE CITY PHOTO CONTEST

Submissions are due July 31 for Temple City’s first annual photo contest, which invites residents to take their best shot at capturing the community’s spirit. Winners in three age categories can win as much as $100 in prize money, in addition to public photo exhibition opportunities.

Commemorate July as Parks and Recreation Month with a trio of family activities at Live Oak Park involving kite flying, a neon night walk and Bark at the Park—a canine-friendly event. Dates and times vary.
