Schools in Mexico by leo sandoval

Is the education free?

Lower secondary school, is compulsory and lasts for three years (grades 7 – 9). Education at state schools is free, and students may follow either an academic track or a technical track.

What is their typical school day like?

First they do chores and around 8:00 A.M. they do their breakfast. Every Monday morning, they sing the Himno Nacional Mexicano (Mexican National Anthem) but only the first verse, because it's a very long song. Their teacher has them start at 9:00 A.M. and for the next three hours they read, work on writing, and practice narratives. Then they have break time(recess), then at 12:30 A.M. they go inside and do projects or work on assignments. Lastly, when they arrive to their house, they have to help the family, feed the animals, and do homework.

Who gets to go to school in Mexico?

Three facts i learned from Mexico's school

1.) They have longer school times. 2.) They only go to school from grades 1st - 9th grade. 3.) They have to go home and eat during school.
