SERIES HISTORY

Ohio State leads, 4-1

Since Nebraska joined the Big Ten for the 2011 season, the Buckeyes and Cornhuskers have faced each other just three times, with the Buckeyes winning two of those contests (both in Columbus).

2011: Nebraska 34, Ohio State 27 (Lincoln, Neb.)

2012: Ohio State 63, Nebraska 38 (Columbus, Ohio)

2016: Ohio State 62, Nebraska 3 (Columbus, Ohio)

Ohio State leads the overall series, 4-1, with meetings previously occurring in 1955 (a 28-20 Buckeye win in Columbus) and 1956 (a 34-7 Ohio State win, also in Columbus).

KNOW THY OPPONENT

The University of Nebraska was chartered in 1869 as a land-grant university under the 1862 Morrill Act, two years after Nebraska's statehood into the United States. Today, the university is organized into eight colleges on two campuses in Lincoln with over 100 classroom buildings and research facilities.

Nebraska's football program has won 46 conference championships, and since 1970, five national championships. The women's volleyball team has won four national championships along with eight other appearances in the Final Four. Memorial Stadium has been sold out for every game since 1962. The stadium's capacity is about 92,000 people, bigger than the population of Nebraska's third-largest city.

FIVE NOTES TO KNOW

Ohio State ranks second nationally with 57 tackles-for-loss this season and has 39 over the last four games.

Under head coach Urban Meyer, Ohio State is 25-1 in true road games and 21-1 against Big Ten opponents.

The 66 total yards allowed against Maryland was the fewest allowed against a Big Ten opponent since 1960.

J.T. Barrett ranks in the top 25 nationally in three major statistical categories: pass efficiency (10th, 166.0), passing touchdowns (third, 16) and total offense (21st, 254 yards/game).

Ohio State has scored 50 or more points in each of its last three games, the longest stretch of 50+ point performances since it had four in 2014.
