Sorry
Firstly we want to say sorry for not being in contact before now. We were hoping to be able to share good news with you sooner and wanted to wait until we could. Now we can.
Geoff and Michelle are finally together again.
Geoff flew out of Uganda on 8 July, after being away for nearly five months. He just finished his compulsory 14 days quarantine in Johannesburg and flew home to be with Michelle on 22 July.
urgent prayer Need
Please keep us in your prayers. I woke up Tuesday morning (28 July) at 2:30am and felt I needed to go to the Australian home affairs web page to ensure we had complied with everything we needed to do to travel to Australia. It turns out we hadn't.
Although we have applied for and been approved for our G2G (Good to Go) to enter Western Australia, we still need exemption for Michelle to enter Australia because she is only on a 12 month tourist visa.
We have now applied for the approval, but have no idea how long it will take. We have already booked and paid for our flights because we thought we had fully complied, so really need this approval quickly.
We only have one month before we are scheduled to fly, but if it hasn't come through within 4 weeks, we will need to consider changing our flights and getting approvals again. We don't want to have to do that so are really praying for God's favour.

Emma
During his nearly five months in Uganda, Geoff was discipling a young man named Emma. In particular Emma wanted teaching in the area of newsletter writing and friend raising to support him in missions. When Geoff returned to South Africa, Emma messaged him the following:
Just want to share with you my testimony. A friend who has been receiving my newsletters paid my staff fees for three months upfront.
Jesus Cares Centre
Homework Centre Closing Again
Due to a recent speech by the state president regards to the rising COVID19 infections, some steps have been taken to close schools for one month from July 27 to August 24,2020.
The Jesus Cares Centre Homework Club is inline with the school calendar and programs. Therefore, we found it necessary to follow suit by closing our edu-care for the same period.
We will still remain open though for other services provided by the centre for donation distribution and for people with animals and pets.
We ask you to pray for us, as most of our learners are under a lot of pressure around this time of the year.
Still Trying to Pack for Perth
We have booked our tickets and plan to arrive 2 September. We have been told we will need to pay for quarantine for two weeks (around $4000) but are just looking forward to get there.
As mentioned before, we just need the one additional exemption approval for Michelle to come through in time, which we were unaware we needed.
Please also keep Michelle’s Permanent Residency Application in your prayers. We have submitted all the necessary documentation and are waiting for the final decision.
