Carter was born on 19 of May 1874. He lived in Norfolk for a while with his aunties he spent most of his childhood with realitives in Norfolk market town of Swaffaham the birth place of both his parents. Howards dad was a portrait painter. Howards dad trained and developed Carter's artistic talents but Howard didn't want to be a portrait painter like his father he wanted to be a archeoligist

Howard first went to Egypt as a young artist he was hired to sketch artifacts but it lead to him becoming a important archeoligist to find gold ,tombs and pharohs jewlery it took him along time to become an important archeoligist in Egypt

in 1907 after 3 hard years for Carter lord Canarvon him to supervise excavation Gaston Mapero
