Everything you need to know about Part 1! By:Sumone SpIvey

This book does not simply tell you what is needed to be a good leader. It does give examples of past leaders and what contributed to their success or demise.

Before reading part 1, I recommend the reader develop their own idea/examples of what a leader/authoritarian is.

Heifetz believes that authority structures are necessary for success in any type of organization. He also believes that it is not required to have a "leader" in each of these settings.

Even though they are a great leader, the things they may be leading their people to believe don't have to be positive.

A leader earns influence by adjusting to the expectations of its followers.

Citizens have a great impact on the leadership.

Thanks!!
