Maryland Crab Pretzle By Zach jones

Ingredients are 1 pound pizza dough, 1/2 pd crab meat, 4 oz cream cheese, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, kosher salt, old bay, 6 oz cheddar cheese, 2 eggs. For crab dip, in a large bowl combine crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, salt and old bay. cover and refrigerate until ready to use. For the pretzels, preheat oven to 450 F. Divide pizza dough into 8 portions, then roll each into a thick rope. Brush each with beaten egg and bake for ten minutes or until golden brown. Remover from oven and allow to cool completely. layer each pretzel with a thick layer of crab dip, then sprinkle with cheese. Put back in oven and bake until cheese is golden brown. remove and eat while warm.

The pretzels are a carbohydrate since it is a bread and has lots of flour in it. The cheese is a protein because it has milk which is a dairy and dairy is a protein. The crab meat is a lipid because it has about 355 calories per 394 grams and is high in cholesterol.

Crab pretzels come from Maryland and is referred to as the Maryland crab dip. Served in most Maryland and southern PA restaurants as an appetizer.
