Hello everyone. Rob Naylor here. Head of Region for Europe. I hope you enjoy the format of this update ... my version of "tomorrow's thinking".

Sorry ... couldn't resist. A great photo, a great memory. Taken on one of my first few days with L Brands. Now onto the update!

In April, we celebrated a late Easter which led to some interesting "rollercoaster" trading patterns. In the UK, it was great to see bras driving our business, allied with some strong marketing initiatives – she loved our £35 bra promotion, our Wear Everywhere bras at £18, and the prominence given to Sport drove like for like of more than 300% in many stores in this category.

Here's a video clip of Shona Mekie, VS UK Store Manager at Bullring in Birmingham, talking about the success of her stores' bra business ... +6% like for like!

Associates across Europe love the Every Customer Counts incentive campaign – this has really put focus and ownership on understanding how transactions are so important to us, and it's serving as a constructive way for us to set the bar higher in driving conversion. Take a look at this interview with Sabrina Jahnigen, Director of Store Operations, describing the campaign.

We started an off-site stockroom initiative in Daventry, where all the back of house processing has been consolidated for seven stores, releasing stockroom space in shopping centres and allowing store associates to focus on what matters most: the customer. Additionally, we have just started a phased roll out of unassisted overnight deliveries in three UK stores, with more to be added this week ... again improving efficiency and productivity with the partnership of our Mast Global team.

Alex Coombs (not pictured) and teammates from VS UK run the processing centre. Members of the Mast Global team and Hellman partners manage the distribution warehouse and distribution operation.

We hosted a wonderful L Brands Way training programme for 50 participants in Reading, Berkshire. Laurie Kamerer and Raegan Martin facilitated. Caroline Perez, HR Director for the UK, shared this: “The feedback was fabulous. Thinking. Team. Pace. Values. All were clearly evident during our session. Yet again, I was reminded that we have such a talented, happy bunch!"

We also onboarded newly appointed Area Managers from Agora Trading -- our partners who who operate stores throughout Scandinavia and Greece.

In May, I look forward to bringing you pictures and reports of our next VSFA store opening in Brighton, UK ... plus our next VSBA in Thessaloniki, Greece!

Brighton Store Manager, Leela Andrews, and Merchandise Manager, Rosie Adamczyk have been busy getting their future SLT onboarded and ready for the May opening -- including a "store takeover" at West Quay, Southampton where the team ran the store with the West Quay team in supporting roles.

Cheers, everyone!
