The Hudson Essex Terraplane Calendar Committee had its start with the 2009 Hudson Calendar that was given to every HET Club member in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Hudson Motor Car Company and the 50th anniversary of the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club. Generous donations from prominent club members and vendors made this calendar possible.
The calendar was a big hit with Hudson aficionados, and many requested a follow-up to the 100th anniversary edition. An independent committee was formed, consisting of Carmen LaFlamme, Bob Ross, Matt Royer and headed by Mike Cherry. This committee spent countless hours compiling photos and information to fill the next year’s calendar. It was decided by this committee to donate all proceeds to various Hudson Motor Car Company causes.
Because of the generosity of those who have purchased Hudson Essex Terraplane Calendars over the years, over $15,000 has been donated by this committee. Recipients have been the HET Club, the HET Club’s Albright Award, the National Hudson Motor Car Company Museum at the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum and the Hudson Essex Terraplane Historical Society’s Doc Hudson replica.
A big thank you to all who have provided materials for use in the calendar and a special thank you to those who have spent countless hours selling the HET Calendar at the HET Club’s national meets.
Your purchase of this calendar will aid us in keeping the memory of the Hudson Motor Car Company alive. These calendars make great gifts for anyone who enjoys a glimpse of the past, Hudson drivers or not.
