Century indigenous SAN and Khoikhoiy " the San and Khoikhoi are two of South Africa's native tribes . The SAN we're hunters while the Khoikhoi were pastoral herders . The Khoikhoi were the first to come into contact with Dutch and given the nickname 'bushmen' . Today they are know as the Khoisan and are still domestic herders" .

1948 the government began to remove any remaining symbols of the historie British ascendant . It abolished British citizenship and the right of appeal of the privy council

. Mandela and several colleagues were arrested in the 1950s, but they were ultimately acquitted at the end of a long treason trial in 1960 While in prison, Mandela and other political prisoners engaged in many political debates and discussion.
