Meet the Host!

Charissa Wheeler

Host Charissa Wheeler is a singer, actress, and the owner of The Music Junction music schools, serving private & group music lessons to over 400 local students. When Charissa herself isn't performing, she is teaching the young singers of SoCal how to! "Burbank Singing Star" is a dream that Charissa formed and brought to life in order to help showcase the many young and talented kids of the area and support music education at the same time. Charissa is an adamant advocate for music education, and feels that supporting arts education for kids is especially crucial in today's climate where funding for the arts is being mercilessly cut from many public school systems across the nation. The mission of "Singing Star" is to give a voice to young talent, and help unleash their greatness for all to see - especially themselves.
