Dear Parents,
This February, at River Valley Youth, we will be discussing the topic of sex in regards to purity. This letter is to inform you, as a parent, about what will be discussed each evening at Youth. While we feel this topic is very important to discuss with students we also feel you have the right to know what we are talking about & choose if it is right for your student to attend during this series. This is a topic we discuss because your student is getting bombarded with it daily by the media and peers and it is important for them to know what God says about it.
- February 6th will be focused on lust, love and infatuation, while we break down the difference between them.
- February 13th will be focused on temptation and how the Bible says we are to respond to it.
- February 20th will be focused on pornography and the dangers associated with it. We desire to help students guard their hearts and live a life of purity on digital platforms.
- February 27th will be a message called, “Sexperts”. We are bringing this message back again, this year, as it was highly effective in answering students’ questions about dating, relationships, sex and purity from a biblical perspective. In essence, it is a panel of pastors and leaders answering questions that students submit in a live panel-like forum.
Our hope, during this series, is that each student will make the choice to fight for their purity and walk away with the knowledge and willpower to do so. Our goal is for each student is to be equipped with the truth about who God created them to be and be confident and prepared to stand up for it. Rest assured that no explicit language or scenarios will be discussed in the messages as we do not want innocent ears to hear about things they are not ready to hear. We hope that this conversation will continue at home with you, the parents, because whether they admit it or not you have the most influence in their lives.

- Minnetrista YTH Sunday School: Every Sunday @ 9:45am
YTH Sunday School is happening every Sunday during the 9:45am service. We gather as a YTH Ministry for deep studies and discussion around foundational truths of the faith. This is establishing a YTH Catechism of our faith that your student cannot miss out on. We then attend the 11:15am service as a group and sit together in the front to lead the way during the service. Don’t miss YTH Sunday School.
