The 1 Love 1 Africa International Reggae Festival Plan

OBJECTIVES
  • Build and sustain a social media presence
  • Educate the public about ARMA
  • Create a platform to showcase an celebrate Reggae Music
  • Break the stereotype built about reggae music as a whole
  • Create engage-able social media content for the public to enjoy
  • Live social media coverage of the event
  • Amplify all media interview
THE FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM STRATEGY
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Build a minimum of 2000 Facebook followers and 500 followers on Instagram by the end of May 2017.
  • Build sustainable growth in the engagement on the page.
  • Create everyday interaction with the page and the content.
  • Leverage associations with the artists involved and their social media platforms.
STRATEGY AND DEVICES
  • Rename and merge current MODAR owned Facebook page.
  • Run social media ads promoting the event, the page and the content.
  • Create a count-down banner to the event.
  • Run Facebook Live interviews with the organiser/promoter to define what ARMA is.
  • Run Facebook Live interviews with some of the artists on the line up.
  • Use relevant social media trends such as #MCM, #WCW, #TBT etc to create engagement and conversation.
  • Create and promote the Facebook event.
  • Create artwork for and amplify all media interviews.
  • Create brand related artwork i.e "Follow Us", "Visit Our Website", "Join the conversation" etc. (example below)
  • Record and post video voxies of the artists on the line-up promoting the event.
  • Create video and photographic live coverage of the behind-the-scenes of the event. (Example below)
  • Interview celebrities and relevant faces at the event (example below)
  • Live photographic and video coverage of the event on social media (example below)

The Twitter Strategy
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Create a twitter trend on the day of the event
  • 1000 followers on Twitter by the end of May
  • Leverage associations with the artists involved and their social media platforms.
  • Create everyday interaction with the page and the content.
STRATEGY AND DEVICES
  • Live Twitterviews with some of the artists on the line-up.
  • Create and launch and official hashtag for the event that we can track.
  • Use relevant social media trends such as #MCM, #WCW, #TBT etc to create engagement and conversation.
  • Live photographic and video coverage of the behind-the-scenes and the event.
  • Create brand related artwork i.e "Follow Us", "Visit Our Website", "Join the conversation" etc. (example below)
  • Create artwork for and amplify all media interviews
  • Live stream the event on Twitter
Facebook & Twitter Live Streaming

The entire festival and all performances can be live streamed straight to Facebook and Twitter for people all over the world can watch. This can also include sponsor ads between performance and extra created content.

WEBSITE STRATEGY

  • Create a platform to showcase ARMA
  • Create a platform for all things reggae music
  • Create a platform that showcases and celebrates Afrikan Reggae Music
  • Create 500+ site visitors by the end of May 2017
STRATEGY AND DEVICES
  • Rework/Redesign the website (proposed website theme below)
  • Create a news and blog section to upload the latest news and update. Content to be curated from various artists, social media platforms, news sites etc (example of news format below)
  • Create weekly playlists using youtube videos from artists channels
DELIVERABLES
  • Daily social media posting (minimum 3 posts per day).
  • Event and behind-the-scenes photography.
  • Live stream the show to Facebook and Twitter.
  • Upload 5 blog post at website launch then release 2 posts per week.
  • Create social GIF's with event dates and venue
  • Create a social media animated event promo video with a voice-over
  • Design artwork as below.
  • Weekly social media report as well as a project report at the end of May 2017
  • Deliver an external hard drive with all raw content created
