YWCA YORK IS DEDICATED TO ELIMINATING RACISM, EMPOWERING WOMEN AND PROMOTING PEACE, JUSTICE, FREEDOM AND DIGNITY FOR ALL.

Across the globe, YWCA has more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2.6 million members and participants in 225 local associations in the United States. YWCA provides safe places for women and families, builds strong leaders, and advocates for social justice and civil rights at both the state and federal levels.

Goals

YWCA York works proactively and collaboratively to provide programs that promote racial justice, empower women, eliminate domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of violence, educate children, provide opportunities for youth and strengthen the community. YWCA York is a gender neutral Association. All are welcome!

The nation is at a turning point, and fighting racism is more important than ever. It starts with recognizing our country’s long history with racism and its impact on our systems, structures, and institutions. If we want a just, peaceful society, it is our mutual responsibility to address racism.
