The kalimba By inez

The kalimba originates from Africa. No one knows where it's really from but there are theories.
The African people of Shona believed it attracted spirits and had a ritual of ancestor worship, involving the playing of the kalimba.
The kalimbas real name is the Lamellophone, but it has different nicknames such as thumb piano, Sanza and Likembe.
The Lamellophone wasn't played by anyone outside Africa until 1970

Here is someone playing the kalimba.
