It has been a fairly exciting last little while. As some of you may or may not know, I recently spent a year studying and serving with Youth With a Mission in Perth, Australia. I started off initially intending to only stay for a discipleship school, but during my time there, God had really shown me a passion for making God known through motion-picture. Because of this, I ended up staying an extra six months to study film. During this time, I was given the opportunity to work on thirteen films in multiple countries, giving me a good amount of experience in the industry.

I have been back in Canada for a little over six months now. Not long after getting back, I started to volunteer with Power to Change, which is Campus Crusade for Christ's presence in Canada. One thing lead to another and now I am officially on staff with their film department!

Power to Change Films

Power to Change is a Christian missions organization. Our primary goal is to make God known throughout the nations, creating disciples and ultimately glorifying God's kingdom by loving and serving those around the world. The guys at P2C Films have been doing just that in cinema by creating visual tools and creative content that can be used on the front lines of ministries around the world to share the Gospel and Godly values with those who do not know Him.

Financial Update

Being that Power to Change is a non-profit organization, the majority of its staff have to be self funded to do the work they do. Now that I am officially on staff, the time has come for me to do just that: fundraise! With how power to change works, I am not allowed to work in the studio until I am fully funded. It is imperative that this happens soon, as P2C Films is quite understaffed and in need of some extra hands in the studio.

My fundraising coach has given me a goal of $1000 of monthly support within the first two months of fundraising, I am presently at $160 with only a month to go. That comes to 16% of my goal of $1000 a month and only 4.5% of the amount of monthly support I need to sustainably serve P2C Films full time. All that being said, I very much could use some prayer regarding financial provision.

Prayer Requests

This time in particular has been one of learning how to trust in God to give me words to speak to potential donors, along with trusting God that He can use me as a means of raising funds for ministry. This first month, it has been taking me much longer than expected for monthly support to come in. So that is my first and foremost prayer request - finances. Secondly, fundraising is hard, so its easy to get discouraged, if you guys could be praying for continued encouragement during this phase of ministry. Thank you so much for your prayers!!
