Caiden, Julia, Maanav & William, Class of 2023

I was really impressed by this block of four students who stuck together and built each other up."

~ Jason Zuffranieri, math teacher

At the Academy, we know students can learn from one another as much as they learn from their teachers, and we are committed to providing a supportive community for everyone.

They push you to make new friends, meet new people, and try new things. And, obviously, that's clear here with the four of us."

The Academy starts building community by forging strong ties in the 6-7 division through family groups (the 6-7 advisory model) and cross-discipline work. Our students also learn about themselves and one another through community service projects, emotional intelligence classes, and experiential education activities.

It's a school in which you go in knowing a lot about yourself, and you come out of it with new interests and passions."

~ Caiden '23

Art by Academy graduates has hung on the walls of the Library of Congress. Our alumni have played in the World Series and speak daily with the President of the United States. When curiosity is nurtured and students have endless opportunities to try new things, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.

The Academy doesn't just prepare you for college; it prepares you for life."

~ William '23

The Academy prepares students to be global citizens in a world where future jobs have not yet been created. That means shaping lifelong learners who are willing to try new things. Academy students are taught to think: how to understand their own worldview and that of others, how to find an evaluate information, how to construct and analyze an argument, and how to communicate clearly, authentically, and diplomatically.

There's such a great community in everything."
