An audio engineer works with the technical aspects of sound during the the recording, mixing, and reproduction of music. Audio engineers often assist record producers and musicians to help give their work the sound they are hoping to achieve.


Jobs in this field are few and far between. Audio engineering is a field that will definitely require a lot of sacrifice. Locally, getting a job im this field is virtually impossible.

Job Requirements

The schooling required is vocational school, community college or 4-year college degree. Also, being electronically adept and being able to work with others is a huge advantage.

Salary and Job Conditions

Salary: from $22,180 to $101,840 with an average of $56,610

Job Conditions: Audio Engineers work indoors and are their own boss if they personally own the studio. Work conditions under other management are usually very pleasurable and enjoyable as well
