Jordan + Julia A Love Story in the Forest

When I met this gorgeous couple six months ago, Mankato, Minnesota was not kind to us. We endured -10 degree weather for their engagement shoot, and it was worth every second.

Fast forward to June, 2018. The sun was shining, flowers were blooming and spring was in full bloom.

Julia was absolutely stunning. She wore a simplistic, elegant and romantic gown, with a beautiful flower crown. Her beauty radiated from her, and showed how beautiful she is, inside and out.

With a small, intimate ceremony in Flangrau State Park in New Ulm, Minnesota, this wedding was one of my favorites. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Jordan and Julia said I do under the shelter of a cottonwood tree.

Jordan wore a gorgeous navy blue suit, which complimented Julia and her bouquet very nicely. Their first look was one for the books, with as heartfelt and emotional as you could ever imagine.

Every detail about this wedding was intimate and romantic. I have never experienced a wedding this personable and intimate.

Intimate is truly the only word for this wedding.

The magic was just beginning. Minnesota didn't disappoint, as we ventured into the woods, and the real magic happened.

And just like that, we were joined by a little fawn. A fawn is a symbolism of innocence and peace, as well as natural beauty and I have to say, that this is found to be true! Julie is one of the most beautiful people I have ever been around. A true kind and gentle soul, it was only fitting that this fawn, just a few days old, took such a liking to her.

This little baby deer trusted us, walked right up to Julia as we were photographing her and Jordan, and just took a real liking to her. We didn't want to disturb baby, but every time we would try to leave, he would follow us.

If this beautiful experience wasn't a sign that this relationship, that this marriage, is blessed, I don't know what is. I truly believe that this was a sign, showing us that this is good, this is right, and Jordan and Julia are destined to have a beautiful and long marriage.

We were finally able to leave the fawn, after he decided he wanted to go back into the forest. That is when we knew, it was time to celebrate this new, blessed, marriage with friends & family.

The reception was an absolute dream. Jordan and Julia were able to celebrate their big day surrounded by their closest family and friends, and had the ability to truly enjoy their day with them.

We enjoyed and amazing BBQ dinner, that was just fantastic. The reception hall was blossoming with cheer, laughter and the memories would be hard to forget.

With a simple, elegant and timeless cake, it was the perfect finishing touch to their reception meal.

We ended the evening with some yard games, laughter and a celebration that will never be forgotten.
