My CondoSeniors do the Palm Too Restaurant in New York City STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY ROBERT NEFF

June 2, 2017. When I want a steak in a restaurant with character, I head for the Palm in New York City. My CondoSeniors offered to pick up the tab and I kept my mouth shut. The original Palm was across the street at 837 and closed. The building had sold five or six years ago. The Palm Too is located at 840 Second Avenue. The cartoon caricatures on the wall have you dining with history. Actually, I sat across from one of the cartoonist who created many of the caricatures.

All photos are with the iphone 6plusS without the tripod.

Established 1926

29 Ounce Prime Rib, rare.

19 Ounce NY Strip, Pittsburgh style.

Creamed spinach

My CondoSenior tried!

Uh-oh

Almost ordered the donut holes but we were stuffed! They even tried ordering one but they were only made as a batch.

Worth every bite!

I was in New York City for Book Expo to see if I could pitch my short story, The Pelican Beakon and the series. My CondoSeniors tagged along for a little rest and relaxation, and moral support. One was from the Brooklyn and had not been back in decades. Did not recognize a thing, but most of the landmarks were still there.

Enjoy more stories and images of what I get to enjoy everyday!
