Dress for Respect The benefits of updating the dress code in the CMS system.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg County has a very lenient dress code for students to follow. The current dress code encourages the student to not respect school.

Is this girl dressed appropriately for school? This girl may not be dressed appropriately but she is technically within the CMS handbook's standards.
Creating a stricter dress code will encourage respect within students towards their peers, students towards their teachers, and students towards their education.

A dress code reform could be one way to eliminate in school bullying. Dress code creates a state of equality among students and takes away the importance of wearing expensive brands.

By implementing a stricter dress code students will generate more respect for their fellow peers and help students look past the brands their peers wear. Thus creating a happier environment in the CMS system.
