NASA Mission: Gemini III Tanner Mathias

The First manned Gemini flight, Gemini III, was intended to test the new maneuverability of the new Gemini spacecraft
The Gemini III mission needed new advancements in the launch vehicle power because the vehicles used for the previous missions, mercury, was to launch a spacecraft only 3,000 pounds whereas the Gemini III spacecraft weighed 8,490 pounds
A few advancements that came from the Gemini III space launch was the new maneuverability capability due to advancements in the thrusters power.
The Gemini III space launch mission changed our understandings of space exploration because it was found that astronauts can actually operate and fix the ship from the outside by being harnessed to the ship
