DESCRIPTION: This is a FREE workshop that will highlight hamstring injuries in the athletic population. The presentation will go over basic anatomy, function of the hamstrings, grades of hamstring injuries, and role of rehabilitation in return to sport. By the end of the presentation, participants will have a generalized understanding of how hamstring injuries occur and steps to take to return to prior level of function while minimizing the chance for re-injury.
Speaker: Dr. Joshua Jordan, PT, DPT, SCS, CMTPT, CSCS
Joshua Jordan is a sports certified physical therapist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Joshua graduated from Colorado State University in 2006 with a bachelors degree in health and exercise science with a sports medicine concentration. He completed his doctorate of physical therapy at George Washington University in 2011 and joined the body dynamics team in 2015. Joshua has coached basketball and football at the high school level along with developing strength and conditioning programs for high school basketball programs in Northern Virginia.
