Recent work

Lazarus - David Bowie

Captured during the final days of its London run, Bowie’s last project was a challenging assignment -lit mainly by a huge collection of projectors, on a cinemascope stage, but the resulting film, not yet released, showcases Michael C Hall’s uncanny, Bowiesque persona as he leads us through what is so more than a jukebox musical

Toxic avenger -the musical

Outrageous, timely and hilarious show recorded in 4k live in the West End. Possibly the only musical to feature a song called ‘liar liar bitch whore’. A show that puts Green polltics not just on the table, but splattered all over the walls (in post production)

“Everybody’s talking about Jamie”

Multi camera live broadcast from Soho

first it was a true story, then a documentary, then a musical drama in Sheffield, then a theatrical west end smash hit, and soon to be a feature film... but for one night we got to capture it and the incredible cast onstage in London - beamed to 560 cinemas nationwide - putting us top of the uk cinema box office!

A completely unique, award winning show by 1927 theatre company, that mixes music, animation and live performance lit entirely by projectors. Soon to screen on the BBC

Elf - the musical

Shown on channel 5 on Christmas Day evening, recorded at the Lowry theatre, Salford in front of a packed out crowd of would-be Elves, this musical version of the modern classic movie brought tears of joy to even our hardened camera crew. Three hours of prime time Christmas telly in the ‘Morecombe and Wise’ slot and my name in the Radio Times double edition is a personal ambition achieved!

Lady Windermere’s Fan & A Woman of No Importance

Cinema trailers for the first of a year’s celebration of the work of Oscar Wilde, recorded at the venue for which they were originally written for, London’s Vaudelille theatre.

A unique blend of dance, acrobatics and opera created and captured over the course of a year’s shooting at various workshops with a variety of performers.

Seven decades

A unique shoot for me - not only getting to design, edit and animate screen footage for the live show, but also got to capture the show on its opening night in 4k
