Eric Liddell

Eric Liddell was born on January 16th of 1907 Tientsin North China. His parents were Jenny and earnest Liddel and his brothers name was Rob liddell.
He played rugby and ran track at Edinburgh university in Scotland. There he study BSC in pure science.
Eric married Flourence Mackenzie and had 3 daughters named patricia, Heather, Maureen. When the first daughter was born they moved to North China were he was born. There he served as a missionary and an ordained minister.
In 1924 Eric competed in the Paris Olympics. There he ran track and field.
Liddell died on Febuary 21 of 1945 in Weifang China
Eric went to China for Missions because he simply felt like God was calling him to do it

In China Eric started a school were they got education, learned to play sports, and got tought the bible.

Eric Liddell now has an award named after him given to one man and one woman who display outstanding character during the Olympic Game.

Eric Liddell won three gold medals at the Paris Olympic games in1924.
