Paricutin Mexico

Joey Scherlin

Paricutin is a dangerous volcano in Mexico. A Farmer was out

farming one day when he noticed a Mountain was building up in his back

lawn. He watched it for two years then it was a volcano and it erupted for a

whole eight years straight.

This Monstrous volcano grew 165 feet in a little more than 24 hours it

is a estimated 9,186 feet tall. This volcano is now quiet. One of the

wonders of the world. Small tremors the past 2 months. Rock Fragments

are all around it. Scoria cone or cinder cone.

Let’s talk about the Damages of the Paricutin Eruption. It Buried an

entire town and damaged 3 other towns. It Buried half a church in lava. 233

km2 area. Very quiet right now. Scientists are waiting for its next move. 3

people died.

That’s my summary of Paricutin one of the 7 wonders of the world

that erupted in 1943 to 1952 and buried a town and damaged 3 of them.
