a thank you note

Dear Norah and Hope For Restoration Initiative Team,

RE: APPRECIATION FOR A DONATION OF REUSABLE SANITARY PADS

Greetings from GLS!

We at Global Learning for Sustainability and our beneficiary communities wish to thank the management/team of Hope For Restoration Initiative -Entebbe for their generous donation of the reusable sanitary pads that we were able to distribute to over 70 wanting girls aged 12-19 being served by GLS in the areas of Kisenyi(Missionaries of the Poor, Wankulukuku Community slum-Nyanama and Kireka suburbs of Kampala.

With your donation, we were able to give pads to 78 girls and young women we serve. To us, your deep commitment to providing immediate relief to the vulnerable girls who have been finding it hard to access sanitary pads for menstrual hygiene is a pure demonstration of charity and hence compliments the vision and mission of GLS. Your support has played a key role in the success of our organization and strengthened our partnership with local leaders and families where the girls leave and work. The girls who among others included domestic workers and students that benefited from the distribution of pads could not hide their happiness since the pads help in saving money in their families and enabling girls to participate in other activities with comfort and confidence.

Your donation will go a long way in helping us move forward in our cause of empowering girls to make right sexual reproductive health choices and gaining their body autonomy. Thank you for always serving the vulnerable girls and young women.

We hope to keep this partnership and share with your our publications regarding our work on empowering Girls and young women in the next few days.

We have attached some pictures during the activity!

With Profound Appreciation

Prudence-GLS Diversity & Inclusion Mentorship team
