The Holocaust Danielle and Joseph

The Holocaust started on January 30th, 1933- May 8th, 1945.

The Holocaust was a genocide, or killing of a group of people, where six million Jews were murdered by the Nazis. They separated all children from their parents and took them to, Concentration camps.

The Germans thought of the Jews as nothing and treated them as if they were animals. The Nazis would persecute, or harass them because of their religion, race or belief, they wanted to get rid of Jews because it didn't matter if they died.
Jews forced to walk in harsh weathers called, the "Death March".

Germans forced Jews to walk in snow . They didn't have shoes but wooden clogs and some people's feet and toes just snapped off like twigs because of frost bite.
